Pulling Faces.

I seem to be a little obsessed with hyper symmetrical faces, and in this drawing I also channelled my love of harlequins, fostered by Neil Gaiman and vintage playing cards. I always play around with a few colour variations, but in this piece I like the monochrome, the neon is very apt for this time of year, and the red and orange combination is very autumnal.

I also tried to keep some of the texture in the work, to add a bit of depth, sometimes I feel my work is too flat, and as a tattoo the design would work, but on a flat page perhaps it is a little static.

It’s amazing how much difference a bit of colour makes.
